It is a single wood board that has ropes that hang from tree. Design on it? It is for a little girl. Should I ask her what color she would like? Or surprise her next visit? She loves this swing! I want to paint before bad weather. What color would you paint wood swing?
I would surprise her and paint the swing her favorite color, if you don't know what that is, I'd go with a bright pink. Then, I'd get creative and paint polk dots on one side, squiggly lines on one of the edges, diagnol lines on another edge. When all was said and done, I'd take a permanent marker and write her name on the back using the dot and line method that is used in a lot of crafts with writing. Also, whatever color I painted the top, I'd repeat it on the underside so that it gives the illusion that it pink with purple polka dots (or whatever) all the way through the wood! Don't forget to seal it with a clear sealer to protect your wonderful creative paint job. Have fun. I'm sure she's going to thing you're the coolest no matter what you decide to do. ;-)What color would you paint wood swing?
You should ask her. If you want it to be a surprise then paint it your favorite color. Whatever you do black and yellow are not the colors.
Paint it white. then you can add some gorgeous pillows - you can buy some beautiful applique ones with fairies etc. at some children's stores in lovely pinks and lavendars etc.
let her be with you to purchase the paint so she can pick it out and trace her hand print on it . then let her sign it with the date.
I would paint it bright red or bright blue and her initials in black, on a bottom corner. :]
Think of her room colors. If she picked them out then pick a similar color. Otherwise you could surprise her even if you ask what her favorite color is. Kids that are young often forget things quickly. If she likes flowers you could paint some of those on a solid color back ground. Or stars and comets if she likes those. Ask her mom if you get stuck. She should have some good ideas of her intrests! You are awsome for being so nice!!!
mabey her hand print with differnt color background
Why don't you use a dark stain to keep the look of the wood and keep it sealed?
