What kind of paint would be good to use to paint a brown wood paneling?

My bathroom has this dark wood paneling in all the walls, I would like to paint them because make the bathroom look dark, so i want a nicer color, what would you recommend me to use to paint my wood paneling wall's bathroom?

Thanks. What kind of paint would be good to use to paint a brown wood paneling?
A brush for the first cover on the wood paneling doesn't have to be a even coat let dry then a roller for the scond coat of primer. You see the brush will get into those parts of the wood that have cracks etc.. then a semi gloss will work fine.

Just ask the hardware store what kind of surface your wanting to paint.they will help youalot oh here a small FYI sometimes they have what is called MIS-tints meaning paint that was colored and was not sold so they sell it at a lower price .What kind of paint would be good to use to paint a brown wood paneling?
Lightly sand the paneling with fine sand paper, then use a Wood %26amp; Wall primer. For the top coat I would use an acrylic latex it has the hardness of an oil based paint but still retains the flexibility of latex. The sheen of the paint is up to you but i would use at least a semi-gloss.
you will want to lightly sand then prime the paneling before painting.

the other post is correct in using a brush then roller for second coat for an even finish.

hope that helps...
