Is it possible to remove paint from wood without sandpaper, lye or paint remover?

its close to christmas and i have no money left but i have to find a way to remove paint from wood.

any suggestions? Is it possible to remove paint from wood without sandpaper, lye or paint remover?
I can think of two methods (not sure they are either practical, or really effective) on removing paint from wood:

1) hook a garden hose to your outdoor water faucet, attach a high pressure nozzle to the end, turn the water on, and spray the wood w/ this high-pressure water, like a sand blaster, and

2) (depending on the wood, and what it is used for), soak the wood w/ warm, almost hot water, and after an hour (give or take afew minutes), scrape the paint off of the wood, being careful not to damage the wood.

Hope these suggestions help you with your task.

The best of luck to you, and Happy Christmas! :?)#Is it possible to remove paint from wood without sandpaper, lye or paint remover?
I believe there's a machine for doing that called a paint stripper, although I think it might be expensive to buy noe, maybe you can rent/borrow one? Or use a hairdryer to dry the paint and peel it off by hand?
there are oderless and safe paint remover gels available at reasonable cost if you don't wish to use sandpaper. i'm afraid you're being penny wise and pound foolish with other methods.
Try a blow lamp.powered by either gas, electricity, or liquid fuel.
you could try wishing it away
Borrow a heat gun
