What is the best way to refinish / paint / stain pressed wood -laminate wood furniture?

Fill holes with wood filler. Sand to 150 grit to remove rough spots. Prime bare spots. Paint with 100% acrylic enamel with the gloss you prefer for a long lasting finish.
