Wall paint primer for priming a piece of wood to paint with acrylics?

Would this work? i wan't to do a painting on a piece of wood...I know it would need to be primed, would wall primer work? i don't have time to go to the store and get artest primer.Wall paint primer for priming a piece of wood to paint with acrylics?
It would be better than nothing. But if it does not contain sealer, any resins or oils in the wood may still bleed through or discolor your work. And if the primer is oil, you would not be able to use acrylics over it, but latex primer you could use oil or acrylics either one.Wall paint primer for priming a piece of wood to paint with acrylics?
Mix it with PVA glue and you'll be fine. On its on it won't be enough.
