How do you remove paint from wood floor?

I recently painted my room and managed to get some paint splatters on my hardwood floor. Is there a way to remove them? How do you remove paint from wood floor?
If its not oil base paint, You can remove the paint drips with a bucket of water and a wet rag. Wipe the wet rag across the floor and let it moisten the paint drops for about a minute. Then go back over it with the rag with a little rubbing. It will come up this way I have found the best without using chemicals. If its dried oil base, you will need a alcohol base cleaner to get it up.How do you remove paint from wood floor?
try lightly sanding with a light grade sandpaper
buy some paint remover at home depot or use finger nail polish.
Helosie.com She normally gives great advice on everything.

I have succeeded using olive oil. I let it soak awhile on the stain. With my finger nail most of it peeled right up. The rest I took a kitchen sponge and lightly scrubbed. It was gone without any damage to my pergo wood floors. It may depend on the type paint you used if its Oil based or not. Hopefully Heloise can assist it that doesn't work. Good Luck
very carefully
Try goof-off, though some of the finish on the floor may come off with it. You may need to touch up the finish with polyurethane after getting the paint off.
as a painting contractor i'll tell you what we use as paint drips are an regular occurance...go to the hardware store and get some denatured alcohol and put a dab on a rag and the paint will ruf off without doing any harm to the hardwood floor.
