How do I eliminate the paint/wood smell in my kitchen cabinets?

I moved into an apartment a few months ago, and the kitchen cabinets have a gross paint and old wood smell. My dishes all take on the odor of the cabinets, which is really unappetizing. What can I do to remove the odor? I've tried baking soda and antibacterial wipes. Thanks! How do I eliminate the paint/wood smell in my kitchen cabinets?

How strange. Are you up to refinishing them or repainting them? Are you sure there's no mold?

Anyway, you can try soaking a cotton ball in vanilla (the kind you use for baking) and putting it in a little open glass. It absorbs odors really well but you have to replace it often.
wipe em down with white vinegar and water... let em air out... that should do it.

Be Blessed!
congrats to your new apartment!

are they newly painted?

if not make sure that they are not mold or mildew.

call your landlord if that's the case.

if they're newly painted, leave a bowl of plain white vinegar inside the cabinet overnight. in am, open it to let the smell out.

good luck.
Place a bowl of unused coffee grounds in the cabinets to absorb the odor. Discard the grounds after a week or so.
