Is it safe to paint an old wooden cot with lead free wood paint?

Yes, the lead paint is bad if you sand it and make a dust are it chips off onto floors for a small child to put in their mouths.

To grow ups lead paint does not harm as bad if we where a small child, reason we eat vegetables and good healthy things to fight back that kids cannot.

So if your grown up go for it- paint but sand and prime first with a face mask. Now if you think a child may chew on it. Strip or get rid of it.

The clothes you wear if you decide to sand or strip have a certain place to dress and un-dress and put in a bag until project is complete go straight to the shower and was off lead paint.

Do not set on furniture or touch any thing and than repeat each day until finished. When finished throw clothes away.

Now if your using lead free paint your okay,

up above is only if the cot has lead paint on it,

and it being old your can only guess as a home owner. Is it safe to paint an old wooden cot with lead free wood paint?
I would imagine; I highly recommened organic. Is it safe to paint an old wooden cot with lead free wood paint?
strip the old paint off first then go ahead and paint with a lead free paint. However, you may have to put new bars in since the regulations have changed over the years. I think the rule now is no more that 2 1/2 inches between bars for safety.
I don't see why not. Is this to improve appearances, or will it detract from the beauty of the wood?
