Would u paint wood oak floor white ?

i want to make it look romantic.


i am board with natural look of wood that most people have on floor, isnt it just boaring?Would u paint wood oak floor white ?
White on a floor? I personally wouldn't. If you then decide it was a mistake you're going to have about 10 times as much work taking the paint off as you had putting it on.Would u paint wood oak floor white ?
For some reason, white on a floor does'nt look right, maybe its the dust that you can see, or the gaps in the floorboards, I don't really know.
no way stain it darker color for a change.or put the new panel carpets down as area rug. some have different designs. IMO
Oak is a beautiful wood. Put a throw rug on it, Before you destroy the value of your home. It's like painting your car with a spray can, It will look hideous and you'll end up embarrassed to bring in guests.
No way, would I ever paint an oak floor white. It's a terrible thing to do to a floor. I happene to like a wood floor, especially if it's oak. Painting it white will stick out like a sore thumb %26amp; it will show dirt like crazy. It wouldn't look romantic to me. If you're ';b-o-r-e-d'; with a natural look of your floor, why not buy a nice area rug to cover some of the floor? They have some really nice ones at Lowe's, Penneys, etc.
change up things with large area rugs. please don't ruin your wood floor. people pay big bucks to rip out carpet, and put in wood floors. wood floors are a high selling point when you sell a home.

If you wanted to cover up the floor, I would get carpet. Painting a wood floor would be a mistake, in my opinion. If you ever wanted to sell the house, an oak floor would be a definite selling point. When you decide to sell, you could just take the carpet up to expose the floor rather than have the tedious job of stripping the paint off the floor.
Yes yes yes. Cut loose and GO for it! The Scandinavians have been painting their floors for Centuries. It will open up a limitless variety of possibilities like stencil patterns, borders, diamond patterns etc etc. Mix and match with rugs too! Like a bit of wood showing? Then you can do a large diamond pattern and have the best of both. We have painted wood floors in a cream colour and are about to repaint. Semi-gloss white looks sensational too. We will never go back to polished boards. Boring.
Try making it look romantic with the paint on the walls. You will be 100% disappointed if you paint your floor white. For one thing, you'll have to use a alkyd paint, and latex will not hold up to any traffic at all. And secondly, wood is not boring. How about adding some accents into the floor. I once layed a hardwood floor that had a 3/4'; strip of dark walnut ';framing'; the room. I have pictures I can share if you want to see. IM or email me and I'll send.
